Component Location Overview - Components Outside Of Vehicle Interior
- On vehicles without an A/C system (only with a heater) the layout, function, as well as the removal and installation for the components necessary for the operation of the heater (for example Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50-, Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-, Outside Air Temperature Sensor -G17- etc.) is the same as on vehicle with a "Low" A/C system.
- Components which are only necessary for the A/C system (for example A/C compressor, condenser, High Pressure Sensor -G65-, refrigerant lines etc.) are not installed on a vehicle without and A/C system.
- The expansion valve -C- is installed on a vehicle without an A/C system only to seal the pass-through in the grommet to the vehicle interior.
- The connections on the expansion valve (for the A/C system refrigerant lines) are connected on vehicles without an A/C system with a closure cap -A- (tightening specification of the nut -B- 8 Nm).
- The cable grommet for the A/C system refrigerant lines (from the area under the left fender in the plenum chamber) is closed on vehicles without an A/C system with a closure cap -A-.
