Overview - Pressure Sensor, Direct Measuring System: Notes

CAUTION:

It is mandatory for run-flat tires to have a tire pressure monitoring system in the vehicle. Refer to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM .

The wheel electronics, thus the system pressure sensor creates a physical unit with the valve.

Tire Pressure Sensor
- Left Front Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor -G222-
- Right Front Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor -G223-
- Left Rear Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor -G224-
- Right Rear Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor -G225-
- Batteries must be completely replaced.
- Remaining battery life, temperature and pressure can be read via diagnosis using the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.
Bolt
4 Nm

NOTE:
Only used on Beru systems
- Microencapsulated
- Supplied as a replacement part complete with sensor
Metal Valve
- Supplied as a replacement part complete with sensor
- METAL VALVE BODY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
  CAUTION:
  Do not screw any aluminum valve caps onto steel valve bodies. Aluminum caps attach to the steel valve body into a inseparable connection and cannot be separated again.

- Always replace if removed
  NOTE:
  Do not counterhold on the metal valve when tightening
- UNION NUT, TIGHTENING SPECIFICATION
Valve Cap
NOTE:
Replace after damage

CAUTION:

If tire sealant was used, then the wheel electronics on that particular wheel must be replaced.
