Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the noise insulations. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .
-- Drain the engine oil. Refer to ENGINE OIL .
-- Remove the left and right front wheel spoiler. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
Audi A4/A5:
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and free up the bracket -1- for the wiring harness.
Audi A6/A7
-- Free up the wiring harnesses on the bracket -arrow-.
-- Free up the wiring duct -2- from the bracket and the subframe.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and the bracket.
Audi Q5:
-- Remove the left and right drive axle cover. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .
-- Remove the nut -arrow- and free up the bracket -1- for the wiring harness.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Remove the left and right bolt -1- for the support bearing.
-- If installed, remove the left and right bolt -2- for the engine mount.
-- Support the engine in the installation position. Refer to ENGINE, SUPPORTING IN INSTALLATION POSITION .
TIP:
Risk of damaging the drive axle: when lifting the engine the drive axles must not come into contact with the suspension struts.
-- Lift the engine the dimension -a- using the :10-222A/11 -1-.
- Dimension -a- = 20 mm.
-- Disconnect the connector -arrow- for the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-.

-- If the oil pan lower section is replaced, remove the Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-. Refer to Oil Level Thermal Sensor -G266-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
