Oil Pan Upper Section, Removing And Installing: Removing

- The transmission is removed. Refer to the appropriate service information .
-- Remove the transmission side sealing flange. Refer to SEALING FLANGE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, TRANSMISSION SIDE .
-- Remove the oil pump -2-. Refer to OIL PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the :T40414 and bring the drive chain tensioning rail -1- to resting position.
-- Disconnect the connector -1- for the Oil Pressure Regulation Valve -N428-.
-- Remove the bolts -3- for the left engine support.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Remove the plugs at the bolts -1, 2 and 14-.
-- Remove the bolts -1 to 18- and loosen the oil pan upper section from the bonding.
- First pry the oil pan upper section out on the transmission side. When prying out proceed carefully - risk of damaging the timing chain cover.
