Intake Manifold, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect and free up the connector -1-.
Vehicles with a Particulate Filter:
-- Free up the connector for the Dual Exhaust Temperature Sensor 1 -GX41-.
-- Disconnect the connector -3-.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and push the Particulate Filter Differential Pressure Sensor -G1037- to the side.
Continuation for All Vehicles:
-- Remove the bolts -1, 2 and 3- and push the coolant pipe to the side.
-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -2-, remove the air duct pipe from the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3- and slightly push it to the left side (example illustration).
-- Seal off any open lines and connections with plugs that are thoroughly cleaned from the : VAS6122 .
-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wires.
1 - For the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor -G336-
2 - For the Intake Air Temperature Sensor - G42- /Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-
5 - For the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-
-- Disconnect and free up the vacuum hose -4-, do not damage in the process.
-- Free up the coolant line -3- at the intake manifold.
-- Remove the nut -arrow- at the heat shield -1- (example illustration)
-- Remove the screw -2- and move the bracket to the side.
-- Disconnect the connector for the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve -N316-.
-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -2- at the same time to not damage it.
-- Remove the connectors -1 and 4- from the bracket.
-- Remove the bolts -1 to 10- and then remove the intake manifold.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- and remove the intake manifold.
-- Free up the connector for the Knock Sensor 1 -G61- to do so release the catch in direction of -arrow- from the bracket -2-.
- Seal the open intake tract channels with clean cloths or with thoroughly cleaned plugs from the : VAS6122 .
