High Pressure Pump, Removing And Installing: Removing

- Only remove the high pressure pump when the engine is cold.
- Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to GUIDELINES FOR CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .
-- Remove the high pressure pipe. Refer to HIGH PRESSURE PIPE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect the connector -1-.
CAUTION:
The fuel system is under pressure.
Risk of injury from fuel spraying out.
- Wear protective eyewear.
- Wear safety gloves.
- Reduce the pressure: place clean cloths around the connection point and carefully open the connection point.
-- Place a cloth underneath to catch leaking fuel.
-- Press the release buttons and remove the fuel hose -2-.
-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.
-- Carefully remove the high pressure pump. The roller tappet may remain in the vacuum pump.
