Radiator, Removing And Installing, AUDI A6/A7: Removing

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the right front wheel spoiler. Refer to OVERVIEW - FRONT WHEEL HOUSING LINER .

-- Remove the impact member. Refer to IMPACT MEMBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- A6: remove the spring element for the right bumper cover bracket. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .

-- A7: loosen the spring element for the right bumper cover bracket and push it to the side slightly. Refer to OVERVIEW - LOCK CARRIER .

-- Place the container of the : VAS 5014 or the : VAS6208 underneath.

-- Pry up the clamp -2- and remove the coolant hose from the lower right of the radiator.

CAUTION:

There is a risk of injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.

- Disconnect the connectors.

-- Disconnect the radiator fan connector -arrow-.

-- Release the catches -arrow- and remove the air ducts -1 and 3-.

-- Unclip the air duct -2-.

-- Remove the left and right headlamp cover -1- upward.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air duct -1-.

-- Release the retainers in direction of -arrows- and remove the upper air duct -1-.

-- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Disconnect the connector -2- for the High Pressure Sensor -G65-.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the refrigerant lines and hoses by removing and pivoting the condenser.

- Do not bend, twist or stretch the refrigerant lines and hoses.

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- disengage the condenser -1- from the radiator and tie up to the side.

CAUTION:

Risk of damaging the retainers due to improper handling.

- Carefully release the retainers.

-- Lift the clamps -1 and 2-, remove and free up the coolant connection from the radiator.

-- Remove the left and right bolt -2- and push the radiator bracket with the radiator toward the front in direction of -arrow-.

-- Release the left and right catches in direction of -arrows- and remove the retaining pin -1- for the radiator upward.

-- Remove the radiator.

-- Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same time in direction of -arrow- and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator.
