Fan Shroud, Removing And Installing, AUDI A4/A5: Removing

-- Remove the front noise insulation. Refer to OVERVIEW - NOISE INSULATION .

-- Remove the charge air cooler. Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

There is a risk of hand injury if the radiator fan turns on by itself.

- Do not reach into the radiator fan when disconnecting the connector.

-- Disconnect the radiator fan connector -arrow-.

-- Unclip the lower air duct -arrow-.

-- Disconnect the connector -2- and free up the coolant hose on the longitudinal member.

-- Remove the left and right bolt -2- and push the radiator bracket -1- with the bolt toward the front in direction of -arrow-.

-- Push the left and right locking latches for the fan shroud at the same time in direction of -arrow- and remove the fan shroud upward from the radiator and remove from underneath.
