1. Cylinder Block
2. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
3. Intake Side Balance Shaft
   • Lubricate the bearing with engine oil
   • Replace in pairs only. Refer to BALANCE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, INTAKE SIDE .
4. Pipe
   • For the exhaust side balance shaft
   • 136 mm in length
   • Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
5. Bolt
   • 9 Nm
6. Exhaust Side Balance Shaft
   • Lubricate the bearing with engine oil
   • Replace in pairs only. Refer to BALANCE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, EXHAUST SIDE .
7. Needle Bearing
   • Replace after removing
   • The needle bearing rim is colored, a needle bearing of the same color must be installed.
   • Lubricate the bearing with engine oil
   • To install, tightly press together the needle cage until it engages.
8. Needle Bearing
   • Replace after removing
   • The needle bearing rim is colored, a needle bearing of the same color must be installed.
   • Lubricate the bearing with engine oil
   • To install, tightly press together the needle cage until it engages.
9. Pipe
   • For the intake side balance shaft
   • 123 mm in length
   • Installation position. Refer to Fig 2.
10. Seal
    • For the intake side balance shaft
    • Replacing. Refer to BALANCE SHAFT GASKET, REPLACING, INTAKE SIDE .

• The tab -arrow A- on the balance shaft must engage in the cut-out -arrow B- on the pipe.
