Upper Timing Chain Cover, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the camshaft adjustment valves. Refer to Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205- / Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Free up the wires.

-- Remove the bolts -1, 2 and 3- and move the left coolant pipe to the side.

-- If necessary, unclip the oil dipstick tube -1- on the upper timing chain cover in direction of -arrow- and remove from the lower timing chain cover.

-- Free up the wires.

-- Remove the bolts -1 through 6- and the upper timing chain cover.
