Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205- / Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Remove the Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-. 

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and the air guide -2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the air guides -1 and 2-.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and air duct -1-.

Continuation for Both Camshaft Adjustment Valves:

-- Disconnect the connectors:

1 -  For the Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-

3 -  For the Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the camshaft adjustment valve:

2 -  Exhaust Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N318-

4 -  Camshaft Adjustment Valve 1 -N205-

Installing 

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

• Check the seals for damage and leaks. If necessary, replace the seals, to do so, remove the upper timing chain cover -item  ) Upper Timing Chain Cover.
• Replace the O-rings and bolts after removing.

-- Oil the O-rings on the sealing surface to the valve for the camshaft adjustment with engine oil.

-- Install the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

Tightening Specifications 

• Refer to OVERVIEW - TIMING CHAIN COVER 
• Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR FILTER HOUSING
