Perform Adaptations After Component Replacement

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Vehicle Diagnostic Tester

Adapting the adaptation values after replacing components

An adaptation of the adaptation values is required after the following procedures:

• The engine was replaced.
• The sensor wheel for the Engine Speed Sensor -G28- was replaced.
• The components of the chain drive were removed and installed or replaced.
• The cylinder head was removed and installed or replaced.
• The camshafts were removed and installed or replaced.
• The Engine Temperature Control Actuator -N493- has been replaced.
• The Radiator Shutter Motor -V544- has been removed and installed or replaced or the Radiator Shutter with the Motor has been replaced.
• The Charge Air Pressure Control Module -GX34- has been removed and installed or replaced or the turbocharger with Charge Air Pressure Control Module has been replaced.
• The Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3- were replaced.
• The particulate filter was replaced.

-- Connect the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

-- Switch on the ignition and select Guided Functions  use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester.

• 0001 - Engine Electronics 
• 0001 - Engine electronics, functions 
• 0001 - Step after replacing components 

-- Start the selected program and follow the instructions on the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester display.
