Sunroof Frame, Removing And Installing, A5 SPORTBACK: Installing

-- Prepare the sunroof frame for installation. Refer to NEW SUNROOF FRAME, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

-- Prepare the body flange for installation. Refer to BODY FLANGE, PREPARING FOR INSTALLATION .

-- Apply adhesive all around the molding.

-- Insert the new sunroof frame in the roof opening at the same time pay attention to the following points:

• The centering pin -2- must be engaged in the hole -1- on the body flange.

• The sealing lip on the cover profile -3- of the windshield -1- must contact the glass trim -2- and must point upward -arrow-. For this secure the sealing lip with adhesive tape on the windshield.

-- Align the front sunroof frame.

• The glass trim must be centered between the roof pillars.

-- Tighten the left and right bolts in the sequence -1, 2 and 3-.

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

• Observe minimum curing times. Refer to MINIMUM CURING TIME FOR BONDED SLIDING SUNROOF .

-- Perform an adaptation. Refer to Sunroof Motor -V1-, PROGRAMMING .
