PRODUCTION SOLUTION

SERVICE

If a mobile phone which has been tested for compatibility (see www.audi.com/bluetooth for list of phones that have been tested), or the fixed handset cannot be connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth, the adaption channel for Bluetooth must be checked. On vehicles with MIB, it must also be checked if the existing activations have been restored:

Vehicles with hands-free (CAN):

Check adaption channel 133 of telephone control unit (diagnostic address 77). Adaption channel 133 must have the value "1"  .

Adaption channel 133:

Value = Bluetooth OFF

Value = Bluetooth ON

In addition, adaption channel 134 must be checked and set to the desired value (factory setting: value 0).

Adaption channel 134:

Value = Bluetooth is always  active

Value = Bluetooth is only  active when the mobile phone is in the charging cradle

Vehicles with hands-free (MOST) or rSAP Bluetooth with MMI2G:

Check adaption channel 133 of telephone control unit (diagnostic address 77). Adaption channel 133 must have the value "1"  .

Adaption channel 133:

Value = Bluetooth OFF

Value = Bluetooth ON

In addition, adaption channel 134 must be checked and set to the desired value (factory setting: value 0).

Adaption channel 134:

Value = Bluetooth is always  active

Value = Bluetooth is only  active when the mobile phone is in the charging cradle

Vehicles with MMI3G or MMI3G+:

Check adaption channel 17 of control unit 1 for information electronics (address word 5F). Adaption channel 17 must have the value "1"  .

Adaption channel 17:

Value = Bluetooth OFF

Value = Bluetooth ON

Vehicles with RMC:

Check adaption channel 09 of control unit 1 for information electronics (address word 5F). Adaption channel 09 must have the value "1"  . The value "0" (Bluetooth is switched on) is then logged in measured value block 96/2 (Bluetooth status).

Adaption channel 09:

Value = Bluetooth OFF

Value = Bluetooth ON

Vehicles with MIB:

Check adaption channel 51 of control unit 1 for information electronics (address word 5F). Adaption channel 51 must have the value "1"  .

Adaption channel 51:

Value = Bluetooth OFF

Value = Bluetooth ON

If Bluetooth still does not work, restore the existing activations using the ODIS tester. Proceed as follows: "Special Functions" => "SVM Activations" => "Restore already existing activations"

NOTE: When replacing infotainment control units in future, always use the "Replace control module" test plan, otherwise the function will not work correctly afterwards. On MIB vehicles, you must also restore the existing activations after performing a software update.
