No relevant DTCs are stored in the vehicle.

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

Due to a deviation in the current draw of the LEDs for the adaptive cruise control lamp, the warning lamps shown in figure 1 may unintentionally illuminate.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

New software in production.

SERVICE

Various warning lamps may be illuminated (Figure 1); in this case, NO DTCs  will be stored.

NOTE: If there are related DTCs and static warning lamps this TSB does not apply. In this case continue with normal diagnosis.

If the customer concern match as stated above, update Instrument cluster J285 (address word 0017) using SVM code 17A047.  Please reference the TSB number in the claim comments.

SVM UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS

Always use DoIP when flashing a control module via ODIS in supported vehicles. 

To Activate DoIP, select Administration>>General>>GFF Process>>DoIP communication>>Only allow DoIP communication 

This setting will automatically reset when the diagnostic session is ended. 

You can tell if DoIP is active by observing a red LED on the VAS 6154(A) 

  1. Follow all instructions in TSB 2011732: 00 Software Version Management (SVM), operating instructions  .
  2. Update the Instrument cluster J285 (address word 0017) using the SVM action code as listed in the table below, if necessary:
    NOTE: case the cluster fails to code after 2 attempts, place vehicle in bus sleep mode for at least 30 minutes before attempting again.
