CUSTOMER STATES

The Audi virtual cockpit has a white sheen over either the complete screen or partial sections.

Please see example pictures below (Figure 1-4).

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND

A hardware issue in the Audi virtual cockpit may cause it to have a white sheen. All the display content is still visible and functional through the white sheen.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Optimized instrument cluster hardware in production.

SERVICE

In the warranty claim notes, document the production date of the instrument cluster. To do so:
1. Using Self Diagnosis: Select diagnostic address 17.
2. Use the control module OBD drop down and select "Identification".
3. Click "show expanded identification".
4. Expand the "Fazit identification" and document "Day of manufacture".
Replace the Audi Virtual Cockpit -J285- according to the instructions of the ELSA repair manual.
