SERVICE

Please note the information in the Owner's manual (refer to customer information)

Before starting any work, you must add a note to order informing the customer that the costs will be incurred for the oil consumption incurred for the oil consumption measurement when checking the complaint.

If the complaint about increased engine oil consumption is unjustified (consumption below the limit specified by the manufacturer), the customer must bear the costs for determining the engine oil consumption.

Example text for order:

To check the engine oil consumption, an objective test specified by the manufacturer (electronic measurement or weighing method) must be performed. Cost will be incurred for the labor required for this test. If the oil consumption is measured using the weighing method, additional costs will be incurred for new engine oil.

If the complaint proves to be unjustified, the customer must bear these costs.

Customer signature........................................

An electronic measurement process that uses ODIS tester have been developed for many models in order to objectively determine the actual engine oil consumption. The electronic measurement is called up on the ODIS tester under "Guided Functions" - "01/0001 - Oil Consumption measurement (electronic measurement, idle)".

Follow the instructions on the tester.

On models for which the electronic measurement process is not available, the test program automatically selects the oil consumption measurement using the weighing method as the test plan. Follow the instructions on the tester.

New oil must only be used when performing a oil consumption test using the weighing method.

Repairs may only be performed if the value obtained in the oil consumption measurement is above the limit specified in the Owner's Manual.

Check whether this is a obligation to report or TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) for the vehicle and the complaint.

If part replacement is invoiced under warranty, the diagnostic log with the data from the oil consumption measurement must be sent online, otherwise we reserve the right to charge back the costs.

WARRANTY

The oil consumption measurement can only be invoiced under warranty if it is determined that the oil consumption is above the permissible limit specified in the Owner's Manual for the vehicle.

Service number/damage code/manufacturer:

For justified complaints, the part causing damage must be coded.
