Component Location Overview - Passenger Occupant Detection System

NOTE:

The seat heating element is used for the passenger occupant detection system.

Wiring Harness
- For the seat position sensor/seat belt fastening detection/seat belt switch
- Clip into the seat frame
- Black connector, connector station in the vehicle floor under the seat
- Removing and installing. Refer to SEAT POSITION SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Wiring Harness
- For the seat heating element with passenger occupant detection system
- Clip into the seat frame
- Green connector, connector station in the vehicle floor under the seat
- Removing and installing. Refer to PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Passenger Occupant Detection System Control Module -J706-
- Removing and installing. Refer to PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
Bolt
- 1.5 Nm
Control Module Bracket
- Clip into the seat frame
Passenger Occupant Detection System
- The seat heating element is used for the passenger occupant detection system.
- Depending on the seat version, the passenger occupant detection system is either sewn into the cover with the seat heating element, or bonded onto the seat cushion
- Removing and installing. Refer to PASSENGER OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- 1.5 Nm
Front Passenger Seat Position Sensor -G554-
- Driver seat: Driver Seat Position Sensor -G553-
- Removing and installing. Refer to SEAT POSITION SENSOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
