Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- Check the receiver/dryer -item 7-, if there is contamination, clean the refrigerant circuit or replace the condenser, if necessary. Refer to A/C System, General Information or REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT, CLEANING .
- Check the receiver/dryer and the threads on the condenser via the opening for damage. Refer to -item 6-, OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
- Replace the plug -A- and then both O-ring seals (included in the delivery of the dryer. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER and Parts Information).
- Coat the O-ring seals lightly with refrigerant oil prior to installation. Refer to REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT SEALS .
- Check the O-ring seals for proper seating in grooves of the respective components.
- Keep the desiccant bag sealed in its air-tight package as long as possible. Open the package just before installing the dryer cartridge in the receiver/dryer of the condenser. After opening the dryer cartridge absorbs moisture from the surrounding air in a very short time and becomes unusable. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
-- Remove the desiccant bag from its package and insert in the receiver/dryer. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
-- Install the plug -A- with the O-ring. Refer to OVERVIEW - CONDENSER .
-- Evacuate and charge the refrigerant circuit. Refer to Refrigerant Circuit or Working with A/C Service Station (1 Of 2) / Working with A/C Service Station (2 Of 2) .
-- Start the A/C system after charging the refrigerant circuit. Refer to A/C SYSTEM, STARTING AFTER CHARGING REFRIGERANT CIRCUIT .
