Plenum Chamber Water Drain, Cleaning
Procedure
-- Switch off the ignition.
-- Remove the plenum chamber cover -A-. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Clean the plenum chamber of debris (leaves, pine tree needles) and other objects.
- To check difficult to access water drains -D- (with the opening -E-) use for example an illuminated endoscope. It is best to use a version that has a flexible waterproof head.
- To clean difficult to access water drains -D- (and the opening -E- to the water drain) loosen and remove coarse dirt with for example a commercially available flexible gripping tool. Then wash out any remaining dirt through the water drains -D-.
- Both water drains -D- are currently without valves, the water flows via the openings -E- in the area of the rear, right, and the left front wheel housing liner.
