Intake Manifold, Removing And Installing: Removing
-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to ENGINE COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the oil filter element. Refer to ENGINE OIL .
-- Disconnect and free up the connector -1-.
-- Remove the bolts -1, 2 and 3- and push the coolant pipe to the side.
-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -2-, remove the air duct pipe from the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3- and slightly push it to the left side (example illustration).
-- Disconnect the connectors and free up the wires.

For the Intake Manifold Runner Position Sensor -G336-

For the Intake Air Temperature Sensor - G42- /Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor -G71-

For the Throttle Valve Control Module -GX3-
-- Disconnect and free up the vacuum hose -4-, do not damage in the process.
-- Free up the coolant line -3- at the intake manifold.
-- Free up the wires on the heat shield -1-.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows- and bolts -2- and remove the heat shield.
-- Disconnect the connector for the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve -N316-.
-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -2- at the same time to not damage it.
-- Remove the connectors -1 and 4- from the bracket.
-- Remove the bolts -1 to 10- and then remove the intake manifold.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- and remove the intake manifold.
-- Free up the connector for the Knock Sensor 1 -G61- to do so release the catch in direction of -arrow- from the bracket -2-.
- Seal the open intake tract channels with clean cloths or with thoroughly cleaned plugs from the Engine Bung Set: VAS6122 .
