Fuel Line To Metering Pump, Bleeding

Special tools and workshop equipment required

NOTE:

After working on the fuel delivery unit, the fuel supply line to the metering pump must be bled on equipment levels with a parking heater.

Procedure

-- Connect the :VAS5226 to the compressed air.

-- On the metering pump -1- remove the fuel supply line -2- from the fuel tank.

-- Connect the :VAS5226 to the fuel supply line using the adapter from the :VAS6213 and bleed it by extracting briefly.

-- Re-install the fuel supply line to the metering pump.

-- Switch on the parking heater and let it run approximately 10 minutes at full load.
