Requirement
- Coolant drained. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
- Pay attention to the Owner's Manual for Cooling System Charge Kit: VAS531011
Procedure
-- Fill the "new" container from the Cooling System Charge Kit: VAS531011 with at least 10 liters (2.6 gallons) of coolant in the correct mixture ratio.
-- Make sure that all coolant hoses are connected.
-- Connect the Cooling System Charge Kit: VAS531011 refer to the operating instructions.
-- Select "vehicle maintenance" in the main menu.
-- Select "pressure test" in the menu and perform the hydraulic pressure test.
- Test length - 10 s
- Maximum Delta P - 100 mbar (1.45 psi)
- Pressure test - 2700 mbar (36.16 psi)
- Pay attention to the notes on the display.
- After completing the test the result is displayed.
-- Select "vacuum test" in the menu and perform the hydraulic pressure test.
- Vacuum time - 240 s
- Specified pressure - 40 mbar (0.58 psi)
- Test length - 5 s
- Maximum Delta P - 10 mbar (0.15 psi)
- Pay attention to the notes on the display.
- After completing the test the result is displayed.
- If necessary repeat the procedure.
-- Select "system filling" in the menu and perform the filling.
- Capacity - enter 10000 g, corresponds to 10 liters (2.6 gallons).
- When the filling procedure is complete the display shows the coolant quantity filled.
- When the filling procedure is completed the service system automatically starts the cleaning of the hoses.
- Follow the instructions on the display and do not interrupt the procedure under any circumstances.
