Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 6-Cylinder TFSI Engine: Installing

Install in the reverse order of removal while noting the following:

Sealing piece, version 1:

-- Check the sealing piece -arrow- for the correct installation position.

TIP:

If the starter assembly is difficult to move, use a silicone-free lubricating spray.

Sealing Piece, Version 2:

-- Clean the contact surface -1- on the lower timing chain cover and on the sealing piece -2- with Cleaning Solution:D 009 401 04  .

-- Bond the sealing piece to the lower timing chain cover.

-- Connect the battery. Required actions. Refer to Connecting .
