Generator -C-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH 1.8L/2.0L TFSI ENGINE, 0K0, 0K2: Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when the ignition is switched off. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- g-tron vehicles: remove the battery tray. Refer to BATTERY TRAY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 0K2 .

-- Remove the ribbed belt from the generator belt pulley. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- and tilt the generator forward.

-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
