Starter, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With 2.0L TDI Engine (0K4): Removing

-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery when the ignition is switched off. Refer to Battery -A-, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING, 0K4 AND VH0 .

-- Remove the engine cover. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the plenum chamber bulkhead. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Loosen the screw-type clamps -arrows- and remove the EGR pipe -1-.

-- Loosen the screw-type clamp -arrow-.

-- Remove the nuts -3- and then the bracket -2-.

-- Remove the noise insulation. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the right engine support. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the bolts -5- and set the particulate filter to the right side.

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from above.
