Overview - Final Drive

• The differential can be removed and installed without removing the shifter, input shaft, output shaft, drive pinion and transmission cover.
• The bearing pre-load for the differential bearing must be adjusted when replacing the final drive cover -5-. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
• When replacing the differential bearing, the final drive must be adjusted. Refer to FINAL DRIVE, ADJUSTING WHEN REPLACING DIFFERENTIAL OR DIFFERENTIAL BEARING .
• When replacing the differential, the final drive must be adjusted. Refer to FINAL DRIVE, ADJUSTING .

1. Transmission Housing
2. Seal
   • For the left flange shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to LEFT SEAL, REPLACING .
3. Differential with Ring Gear
   • Overview. Refer to OVERVIEW - DIFFERENTIAL .
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to DIFFERENTIAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
4. O-Ring
   • Coat with transmission fluid
   • Replace after removing
5. Final Drive Cover
   • Replacing. Refer to FINAL DRIVE COVER, REPLACING .
6. Bolt
   • Quantity: 12
   • Replace after removing
   • Tightening specification and sequence. Refer to Fig 2.
7. Seal
   • For the right flange shaft
   • Replacing. Refer to RIGHT SEAL, REPLACING .
8. Circlip
   • Replace after removing
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to Installing .
9. Right Flange Shaft
   • Removing and Installing. Refer to RIGHT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
10. Pinion
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to PINION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
11. Left Flange Shaft
    • With mounting bracket and ball bearing
    • Removing and Installing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
    • Replacing the ball bearing or mounting bracket. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET, REPLACING .
12. Bolts
    • 10 Nm +90°
13. Mounting Bracket
    • For the left flange shaft
    • Replacing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET, REPLACING .
14. Ball Bearing
    • For the left flange shaft
    • Replacing. Refer to LEFT FLANGE SHAFT BALL BEARING MOUNTING BRACKET, REPLACING .
15. Circlip
    • Replace after removing
