All-Wheel Drive Clutch Input Shaft Seal, Replacing: Installing
-- Clean the running and sealing surface.
-- Coat outer edge of the seal with ATF.
-- Fill the space between the sealing/dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease: G 052 128 A1 .
- Installed position: The open side of the seal faces the transmission housing.
- Do not tilt the seal when installing it.
-- Install the seal using the Bearing Installer - Carrier Bearing: 3350 to dimension -x-.
- Dimension -x- = 11.2 mm underneath the housing lower edge
-- Install the all-wheel drive clutch. Refer to ALL-WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
-- Add ATF for all-wheel drive clutch and reset the >>oil age adaptation values<< in the All-Wheel Drive Control Module -J492-. Refer to ALL-WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH OIL, DRAINING AND FILLING .
