GEAR OIL LEVEL, CHECKING, 0D3 "quattro sport" AND 0BX "quattro sport"

Test requirement

• Gear oil temperature: 10 °C to 60 °C (50 °F to 140 °F)
• The rear final drive must be in the installed position.
• The vehicle must be level.
• Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - DRAIN AND CHECK PLUGS, 0D3 "quattro sport" AND 0BX "quattro sport" 

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Drip Tray

-- Remove the gear oil check plug -1-, located on the right side of the final drive.

• The oil level is correct when the rear final drive is filled up to the lower edge of the oil fill hole.

• Refer to the Parts Information for the correct transmission fluid specification.

-- If necessary, fill the gear oil.

• Refer to GEAR OIL, DRAINING AND FILLING 

-- Install and tighten the gear oil check plug -1-. Tightening specification -item  : Gear Oil Check Plug.
