• The trapezoid-shaped hole in the bonded rubber bushing -arrow A- faces upward.
• The rubber-coated side of the metal insert -arrow B- faces toward the driveshaft.

• Pay attention to the installation position of the bonded rubber bushing. Refer to Fig 4.
• The beveled side of the Assembly Tool - Guide Sleeve: T40342/1  -arrow- faces inward toward the final drive.
• The beveled side of the Pressure Plate: T40342/4  faces toward the Hydraulic Press: VAS 6178  .

-- Coat the outer edge of the bonded rubber bushing -A- with installation lubricant.

-- Press in the bonded rubber bushing all the way to the Pressure Plate: T40342/4  .
