All-Wheel Drive Clutch Output Shaft Seal, Replacing: Installing
-- Clean the running and sealing surface.
-- Coat outer edge of the seal with ATF.
-- Fill the space between the sealing/dust lip halfway with Sealing Grease: G 052 128 A1 .
-- Drive on the seal using the Seal Installer - Air Mass Meter: T40044 until it stops. Do not tilt the seal.
- Installed position: The open side of the seal faces the transmission housing.
-- Drive on the new dust protector ring -1- using the Seal Installer - Front Propshaft: T40115 until it engages on the output shaft.
-- Add ATF for all-wheel drive clutch and reset the >>oil age adaptation values<< in the All-Wheel Drive Control Module -J492-. Refer to ALL-WHEEL DRIVE CLUTCH OIL, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Install the driveshaft. Refer to DRIVESHAFT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
