Brake Caliper, Removing And Installing, 1LA/1LB: Removing

Clean bolts before reusing

Replace the damaged bolts. Refer to the Parts Information.

-- Raise the vehicle.

-- Remove the wheels.

-- Remove the brake hose from the bracket.

-- Disconnect the brake wear indicator on the left brake caliper.

-- Remove the bolts -5- from the brake carrier.

-- Remove the brake carrier with brake pads and the brake caliper.

NOTE:

Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.

WARNING:

Do not press the brake pedal when the brake caliper is removed.
