Mounting Bracket, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
-- Install the accelerator pedal module. Refer to ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION SENSORS -G79- / -G185-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
-- Install the clutch pedal. Refer to the appropriate service information.
-- Install the over-center spring -2-. Refer to the appropriate service information.
-- Install the brake pedal. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, VEHICLES WITH MANUAL TRANSMISSION .
-- Insert the mounting bracket and bring into the installation position.
The mounting bracket must be seated in the bulkhead guides and all stud bolts.
-- First insert the bolts -arrows- and tighten to 25 Nm.
-- Install the plenum chamber cover. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Tighten the mounting bracket to all of the required tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - BRAKE PEDAL .
-- Engage the clutch master cylinder in the mounting bracket using the :3355 .
Rotate the tool counter-clockwise in the direction of -arrow B- while pulling the master cylinder forward in the direction of -arrow A-.
-- Connect the clutch master cylinder to the clutch pedal.
-- Install the mounting pin for the clutch master cylinder -1-.
-- Install the steering column. Refer to STEERING COLUMN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Connect the brake pedal to the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, DISCONNECTING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .
-- Install the footwell vent. Refer to DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the instrument panel cover. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
