Brake Pedal, Removing And Installing, Vehicles With Manual Transmission: Installing
Do "not" apply grease or oil to the mounting pin and pin mount in the brake pedal.
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
-- Insert the brake pedal in the mounting bracket.
The image shows the mounting bracket when it is installed:
-- Insert the mounting pin -3- from the left all the way and secure using the clip -2- and bolt -arrow-.
-- Tighten the bolt to 20 Nm.
-- Install the mounting bracket. Refer to MOUNTING BRACKET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Connect the brake pedal to the brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL, DISCONNECTING FROM BRAKE BOOSTER .
-- Install the footwell vent. Refer to DRIVER SIDE FOOTWELL VENT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the instrument panel cover. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

- Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
