Brake Caliper, Replacing: Notes

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Torque Wrench 1331 5-50Nm :VAG1331 
• Brake Pedal Actuator :VAG1869/2  .
• Bleeder bottle from the Brake Charger/Bleeder Unit :VAS5234 
• Engine Bung Set :VAS6122 
• Lithium Grease :G 052 150 A2  . Refer to Parts Information.
• Safety Gloves

Always replace the self-locking nuts and bolts.

Replace damaged bolts and nuts.

Clean the bolts and nuts before reusing.

The brake caliper is removed and disconnected from the hydraulic system in the following description. The brake hose is removed.
