Side Sill Trim Panel, Removing And Installing, A5: Removing
-- A5 Sportback: open the rear door. Refer to DOOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the center underbody panel. Refer to CENTER UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the rear underbody trim panel. Refer to REAR UNDERBODY TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Release the quick release -2- in direction of -arrow A-.
-- Lift the side sill trim panel -1- slightly and remove it toward the outside in direction of -B arrows-.
A5 Coupe:
-- Remove the side sill trim panel clips -2- in the area of the wheel housing starting at the body in direction of -arrow A-.
-- Pull the side sill trim panel -3- off the front bracket in direction of -arrow B- and then the rear bracket -1- in direction of -arrow C-.
A5 Sportback:
-- Carefully warm the side sill trim panel using the : VAS1978/14A in the side panel area.
-- Carefully loosen the side sill trim panel in the area of the trim panels -2-.
-- Pull the side sill trim panel -3- off the front bracket in direction of -arrow A- and then the rear bracket -1- in direction of -arrow B-.
Continuation:
-- Remove the side sill trim panel and lay it on a soft surface.
-- Push the rear bracket -1- upward in direction of -arrow A- and pivot on the bottom upward in direction of -arrow B- and remove.
