Window Regulator, Removing And Installing, A4: Removing
-- Remove the door inner cover. Refer to DOOR INNER COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the speaker. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SOUND SYSTEM .
-- Remove the window regulator motor. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A4 AND A5 SPORTBACK .
-- Insert the :T40231 on both sides of the door window -2- and push it downward at the mount on the window regulator -1- in direction of -arrow-.
- The mount on the window regulator bends far enough so that the door window can be lifted upward with the mounting pin.
-- Remove the door window -2- upward from the mount and secure from falling down with adhesive tape.
-- Release the retainers -3 and 4- on the threaded pins -5- for the window regulator using an 11 mm socket. To do so, slide the socket onto the threaded pin.
-- Remove the plug -arrow-.
-- Loosen the upper nuts -1- three turns and remove the lower nuts.
-- Pull the window regulator -2- toward the rear and out of the door inner cover opening.
