Window Regulator, Removing And Installing, A5 Cabriolet: Removing

-- Remove the side window mount. Refer to SIDE WINDOW MOUNT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Move the side window into the "half closed" position.

-- Remove the speaker. Refer to COMPONENT LOCATION OVERVIEW - SOUND SYSTEM .

-- Loosen the nuts -4- several turns using the socket wrench at the same time counterhold using a socket on the adjusting bolt -3-.

-- Disconnect the connector -1- and push through the grommet -2- outward.

-- Pry out the window regulator with the side window and window regulator motor out of the mount and remove upward.

-- If the window regulator is to be replaced, also remove the following components:

• Window Regulator Motor. Refer to WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 CABRIOLET .
• Side Window. Refer to REAR SIDE WINDOW, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, A5 CABRIOLET .
