Customer states:

The customer complains about the following messages on the instrument cluster:

"Traffic Jam Assist: unavailable!"
"Audi Active Lane Assist: fault!"

In addition, both functions are unavailable/cannot be activated.

Workshop findings:

The complaint is active/static and can be reproduced at any time.

The following DTCs are stored:

Front camera, R242 (address word 00A5):

DTC U112300: Databus error value received (symptom 1123220 ) (active/static).

DTC U112300: Databus error value received (symptom 1123220 ) (passive/sporadic) (frequency counter >= 3).

Distance regulation control module, J428 (address word 0013):

DTC U112300: Databus error value received (symptom 2153 ) (active/static).

DTC U112300: Databus error value received (symptom 2153 ) (passive/sporadic) (frequency counter >= 3).

SERVICE

Please replace the capacitive steering wheel according to the instructions in the repair manual.

NOTE: Try to reproduce the customer complaint (based on the description/cause of the issue), so that it can be clearly assigned to this TSB. The following repair must only be carried out if all the criteria (model/type, chassis number, engine/motor and gearbox code, PR number(s), part number, software version, code etc.) apply exactly. Otherwise, this solution will not eliminate the problem, and repeat repairs may be necessary. In such a case, we may reject the warranty claim and charge back the cost of the parts.
