The following DTC is stored:

TECHNICAL BACKGROUND 1

The smallest contamination may be sufficient to cause an internal leak in fuel tank pressure sender G400 (NVLD); this can lead to the DTC "P045600 - Very Small Leak Detected" being set.

PRODUCTION SOLUTION

Not applicable.

SERVICE

Ensure that there are no leaks in fuel system; check according to the Guided Fault Finding or the Workshop Manual.

If GFF instructs you to replace fuel tank pressure sender G400 (NVLD), please proceed as follows:

NOTE: The opening marked with a red circle (Figure 1) must not be closed or exposed to compressed air, as this may cause irreparable damage to the NVLD. In addition, this ensures that possible contamination can be blown out of the NVLD.
NOTE: While blowing through the component as described above, please hold it in your hand → the component must not be clamped or secured in a vice due to risk of damage.

Reinstall the fuel tank pressure sender G400 (NVLD) and recheck the system for leaks.
