Visual damage on the steering wheel.
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND 1
Visual damage on the steering wheel (as shown in the photographs below) is not a fault which is covered under warranty. Several tests have demonstrated that there is no fault in terms of materials and/or workmanship. The damage is caused by external influences (e.g., contact with fingernails, zippers, watches, rings, and similar items, etc.)
Using unsuitable cleaning agents with abrasive materials or solvents, as well as using excessive disinfectant agents can result in paint coming off or damage being caused on coated/painted surfaces. Always observe the information on care and cleaning provided in the operating instructions.
PRODUCTION SOLUTION
Not applicable.
SERVICE

WARRANTY
Steering wheels with the above damage which have been replaced, will be charged back.
If the component has a fault which is covered under warranty, attach the appropriate pictures to the TAC case with a clear reference to the vehicle when billing as a warranty/goodwill claim. If the required documentation is not provided, the claim may be rejected. Service Number 4810, damage code 0030.
