Side Spoiler, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
- The vehicle and the spoiler must be at room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
Installation Preparation for Reinstallation:
-- Remove the adhesive residue on the spoiler.
-- Clean the plastic side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 and let dry.
-- Apply double-sided tape to the same location. Refer to Parts Information.
Continuation:
-- Remove adhesive residue from the rear window.
-- Clean the glass side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 and let dry.
-- Apply Glass Primer: D 177 500 A1 -1- on the glass-side adhesive surface -2- using the Applicator: D 009 500 25 -3- and let it dry.
Courtesy of AUDI OF AMERICA, LLC- If the Glass Primer: D 177 500 A1 dries longer than eight hours, then it must be primed again.
- Apply the adhesive tape, so that the side with the blue protective film points to the spoiler.
-- Fold back the ends of the protective film, or attach a pulling aid -2- to the protective film.
-- Align the side spoiler -4- on the rear window -1- while paying attention to the adjustment dimension. Refer to ADJUSTMENT DIMENSION, A4 AVANT .
-- Remove the protective film from the pulling aid and from the adhesive tape -3-.
-- Push the entire length of the side spoiler on using the : 3356 .
- Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
