-- Vehicles with pedestrian protection: remove the pedestrian protection trigger. Refer to OVERVIEW - PEDESTRIAN PROTECTION .
-- Remove the gas-filled strut. Refer to GAS-FILLED STRUT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Bring the hinge into the "closed" position.
-- Mark the hinge installation position for reinstallation.
