Spoiler, Removing And Installing, A4 Sedan And A5 Coupe: Installing
- The vehicle and the spoiler must be at room temperature.
- The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
- Cut the adhesive bead back/evenly just before installing, but do not completely remove.
- Do not prime or use a cleaning solution on the adhesive bead.
- The spoiler must be attached within 15 minutes of applying the adhesive.
-- Remove the adhesive residue from the body.

TIP:
The residue acts as a base for the adhesive to be applied.
-- Clean the adhesive surface from the adhesive tape on the body with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 and let it dry.
-- Clean the adhesive surface on the spoiler with Cleaning Solution: D 009 401 04 and let it dry.
-- Fold back the end of the protective film, or attach a pulling aid -3- to the protective film.
-- Apply an adhesive bead of One-Part MS Assembly Adhesive: D 172 090 A2 centered in the adhesive bed over the entire area to be riveted on the spoiler -1-.
- Dimension -a- = 4 mm ± 1 mm
- Dimension -b- = 5 mm ± 1.5 mm
-- Place the spoiler -1- on the rear lid -2- and align to the side.
-- Remove the protective film on the removal aid from the inside outward.
-- Press on the spoiler first on the outer edge -arrow A- and then on the inner edge -arrow B- over the entire length.
- Vehicle resting time is at least 24 hours at room temperature.
