Convertible Top, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the left and right luggage compartment trim panels. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the convertible top compartment cover. Refer to CONVERTIBLE TOP COMPARTMENT COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the Left Convertible Top Compartment Enclosure Motor -V433-. Refer to the appropriate service information.

-- Free up the hydraulic line, to do so:

-- Pry out the bracket -1- from the body.

-- Pry out the bracket -2- from the body.

-- Free up the hydraulic line/wiring harness from the mount -1-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -4 and 5-.

-- Remove the nut -3- and free up the ground wire.

-- Right: remove the nut -2- and free up the ground wire -1-.

-- Press off the bracket -1- from the threaded pins.

-- Remove the tool box -4-.

-- Disconnect the connectors -2-.

-- Place the hydraulic pump -3- with the attached hydraulic lines toward the front.

-- Bring the convertible top into the "open" position by hand.

-- Remove the side trim panel. Refer to the appropriate service information .

-- Remove the bolts -arrows- on the main bearing -1-.

-- Pry out the convertible top -3- with three technicians out of the vehicle in direction of -arrows-.

• Two technicians hold the convertible top.
• The third technician removes the hydraulic pump -2- and the hydraulic lines -1- using the hydraulic cylinders.

-- Carefully pry out the convertible top and place it on a soft surface.
