Convertible Top Compartment Cover Hydraulic Cylinder, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Bring the convertible top into its service position. Refer to Position : .

-- Release the securing tab -1- in direction of -arrow- open the bracket downward and remove the cable holder -7- from the lower ball pin.

-- Release the catch -6- and remove the cable holder with the wiring harness from the hydraulic cylinder -5-.

-- Lightly lift the locking spring -3- and remove the hydraulic cylinder -2- from the ball pin -4-.

-- Remove the hydraulic cylinder.

If the hydraulic cylinder is being replaced:

• Hydraulic Line, Removing. Refer to HYDRAULIC LINE ON CYLINDER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
• Left hydraulic cylinder: free up the wiring harness and remove the Convertible Top Compartment -Open- Switch -F407-. Refer to Convertible Top Compartment -Open- Switch -F407-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
