Sunroof Frame, Removing And Installing, A4 AVANT: Installing
- When inserting the sunroof frame, pay attention to the sliding sunroof seal in the roof opening.
-- Bring the roof system into position with the front glass panel at the front edge in the roof opening (front edge positioned against the roof opening).
-- Push the roof system in the rear glass panel area at the rear edge upward into the roof opening (the surrounding seal must not be pushed upward).
-- Tighten the nuts to 1 mm away from a secure fit.
-- Use the :3371 and the glass panel edge (molding) to centrally align the sunroof frame evenly with the outer seal.
- The opposing points -1 through 4- should have the dimension -a- = 10 ± 0.5 mm.
- The opposing points -5- should have the dimension -b- = 22 ± 0.5 mm.
-- Tighten the nuts in the sequence -1 through 8-.
-- Check the central alignment of the glass panel again and readjust it if necessary. Refer to Installing .
Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:
