Roof Opening Seal, Removing and Installing:: Installing

• The vehicle and the seal must be at room temperature.
• The adhesive surfaces must be free of dirt and grease.
• Do not stretch the seal when installing it.

-- Remove the adhesive residue from the body.

-- Clean the painted side of the adhesive surface with Cleaning Solution :D 009 401 04  and let dry.

-- Apply Bonding Agent :D 355 205 A2  -1- on the painted side of the adhesive surface -2- using the Applicator :D 009 500 25  -3- and let it dry for ten minutes.

• If the Bonding Agent :D 355 205 A2  dries longer than two hours, then it must be primed again.

-- Starting at the back, push the seal in the roof center onto the body seam. While doing so, remove the adhesive strip protective film.

• The seal joint must be at the rear in the center of the roof.

-- Press on the seal with the Pressure Roller :T10563  in the adhesive tape area in two stages on the roof edge.

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

-- Perform an adaptation. Refer to Sunroof Motor -V1-, PROGRAMMING .

• Resting time approximately 30 minutes at room temperature
