Installing the airbag control unit
WARNING:
Airbag unit. Danger! Life-threatening injuries!
- Before performing any work on the airbag, always disconnect the battery earth lead from the battery.
- Airbag unit may only be set down with the cushion (airbag itself) facing upwards.

NOTE:
RISK OF DAMAGE Electrostatic discharge. Damage to or destruction of electrical components.
- Leave electrical components in original packaging until just before they are installed. Use the original packaging only for any return shipments. Always package removed components straight away.
- Read and comply with user information on using the associated special tool 12 7 060.
- Only touch the housings of electrical components. Do not touch pins or multi-pin connectors directly.
- Wear electrically conductive clothing and antistatic shoes (with ESD symbol).

- Position airbag control unit (3) correctly,
- Tighten nuts (2),
TIGHTENING TORQUES SPECIFICATION

- Connect connectors (1) and lock,
- Correctly position the holder (2),
- Tighten nuts (1).

Follow-up Work
- Install the CENTER CONSOLE .
- Install the right footwell TRIM PANEL .
- Install the pedal mechanism TRIM PANEL .
- Install the CUP HOLDER .
- Install the center CONSOLE TRIM .
- Install front storage COMPARTMENT TRIM .
- Install the center ARMREST .
- Install the rear center CONSOLE TRIM .
- Install the center armrest STORAGE COMPARTMENT .
- Connect all battery EARTH LEADS .
- Activate the 48 v ELECTRICAL SYSTEM .
- Adjust the driving dynamics SENSORS .
