Remove steering column
WARNING:

- All work on pyrotechnic parts may be carried out by technically experienced and appropriately trained personnel only.
- Replace any damaged part or ones that have been dropped.

Preliminary work
- ADJUST the steering column position.
- DEACTIVATE the 48 v electrical system.
- Disconnect all battery GROUND LEADS .
- Remove the steering wheel or sports steering wheel AIRBAG UNIT .
- Remove STEERING WHEEL .
- Remove steering upper section column SHROUD .
- Remove steering lower section column SHROUD .
- Remove the steering column SWITCH CLUSTER (SZL).
- Remove the pedal mechanism TRIM PANEL .
- Remove KNEE AIRBAG .
- Remove steering shaft lower part from STEERING COLUMN .
- Detach cable (1)
from the steering column (2)

- Release the nuts (1)
on the steering column with a 1/4" reversible ratchet, an extension, a joint, and a socket (key range 13) from the footwell.NOTE: TECHNICAL INFORMATION Secure component against falling.
- Loosen nuts (1) .
- Carefully remove the steering column towards the top.
